Down the Rabbit Hole

I don't believe that anyone can deny the madness of the world in which we live.  No matter whether you like to read Jane Austen with a cup of Earl Grey or cheer at football games with a burger in hand,  I think we can all agree that this world of ours is crazier than a mad hatter. Of course, it's dangerous too, and sometimes unbearably sad.  But then again, there are pieces of our lives that shine with the glow of joy and delight, like the first time you read a really good book and it just seems to change everything you've ever thought before.  In these moments, somehow the darkness doesn't seem so fierce any more.  I have two purposes in beginning this blog. First, I hope to describe the adventures that overtake me as I, a young lady with delusions of normalcy, travel through Wonderland.  I will be sharing episodes of my attempts to become a (somewhat) competent seamstress, as well as all of the clever and curious things I learn while preparing for grad school. Second, I want to share the little pieces of whimsical good nature that I encounter along the road, hoping that they'll brighten up at least a tiny corner of the darkness. I hope you'll join me on these adventures, and maybe discover some of your own, too.
